Tips on Printing your Own Flyers
Choosing a printer -
When you are looking at printing a lot of flyers you will want to be sure that it does the following:
Won't run the page if it gets wet. Laser printers do not smudge when your flyer gets wet, where jet printers will. This can be important when you want to be sure that someone can contact you back.
Make sure that the cost to refill the toner is not expensive
Check out the reviews on the printer you choose on amazon.com before purchasing. This can eliminate getting a lemon :-) ****I have added a link below to the printer that I currently use. I paid under $100.00 for this and can get refill bottles of ink for $5-$6 which gives me around 2,500 copies per bottle.
What Paper to Use:
I use bright florescent paper that I pick up at Wal-mart and use black ink only. I have tested white paper with colored ink and do not get the same results that I do with just bright paper on black ink.
How big should the flyer be?
You can make 2 - 3 flyers per piece of paper to help with cost and also make it easier for business people to allow you to leave flyers out at their business.
Where do I leave the flyers?
My favorite places to leave flyers are restaurants, gas stations, and waiting rooms (Salons, Auto Mechanics, Car Washes, Urgent Care Clinic, Eye Doctors, Chiropractors, etc)
How many flyers should I leave out?
When I am looking for results, I do around 200 flyers a week and do this consistently for at least 3 months. Flyers take time to start working, so you need to give them 3 months of consistent effect to give it a good test.
